What are the benefits of Sound Bath Meditation?

The space created through Sound Bath Meditation is an effective and proven modality that uses sound vibrations to help reduce stress and relieve pain, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace and relaxation. In this relaxed space, each individual begins his/her own self-healing process.  You can restart your immune system, often shut down by stress, and activate the healing process to restore, renew and rebalance. Sound therapy has many health benefits. It has been shown to be a vital part of the healing process for people with anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

What happens in a Sound Bath Meditation session?

Individual sessions begin with a body scan to connect with the present moment then relax into the meditation. We set an intention for our self-healing and then simply allow the sounds to wash over and through us. You may choose to be seated or lying down on the massage table. You will be fully clothed with a blanket over you for additional warmth and comfort. Unlike group meditation, you will receive a sound energy assessment that will be reviewed after the session. Crystal or Tibetan bowls and tuning forks may be placed on your body so you may benefit from the ultimate “tune up”. At the end of your individual session, you may receive further instructions for supportive sound healing “home work”.

What about Group sessions?

In a group session, also known as a Sound Bath, you will be lying down on a mat or seated in a chair for 60-75 minutes, wrapped in your blanket and absorbing the sound waves from the healing instruments. Group sessions are good for team building and group bonding for corporate or social groups. All bookings are taking through our Acuity Appointment Scheduling, check availability now.
